Material Handler Lead

Location: Hazleton PA

Midway Staffing is seeking a Material Handler Lead for a high-volume distribution warehouse. This position plays a vital role in ensuring warehouse organization, shipment accuracy, and safe equipment operation. The role involves supporting daily shipping and receiving activity, supervising safety compliance, and assisting with order accuracy and productivity.

Note: This position requires travel to Chicago for 4 weeks of paid training. All travel, lodging, and meals are fully covered by the company.

Job Duties

Receive, unload, and tag incoming parts and equipment

Operate forklifts, walkies, and RF scanners in a safe and efficient manner

Pull and stage parts for production and resolve part shortages

Build and break down pallets for incoming/outgoing stock

Pick, verify, and stage customer orders to ensure accuracy and cost-effective shipping

Package and prepare items for shipment

Support lean warehouse operations and quality management procedures

Maintain clean and organized warehouse space per company safety standards

Cross dock freight and manage outbound processes as needed

Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Job Responsibilities

2–4 years experience in a warehouse environment

High school diploma or GED required; warehousing certifications a plus

Familiar with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF technology

Strong forklift experience (sit-down, walkie); certification preferred

Able to lift up to 60 lbs and be on feet for full 8+ hour shifts

Must have solid communication skills and be able to work independently and on a team

Basic PC skills; able to use Microsoft Office and internal systems

Strong attention to detail and safety; must follow all operational and safety procedures

Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and covering other shifts if needed

Must be able to travel to Chicago for 4 weeks of hands-on training (company paid)
