Our client is a nationally recognized general contractor specializing in the design and construction of complex facilities—including cold storage warehouses, refrigerated distribution centers, and food & beverage processing plants. They deliver operationally critical environments with precision, quality, and speed.

Position Overview

Seeking a Traveling Construction Superintendent with deep experience leading cold storage or food processing construction projects from the field. This individual will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, supervising subcontractors, enforcing safety protocols, and driving project delivery from groundbreaking through closeout—wherever the project takes you.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all onsite construction activities with a strong focus on schedule, safety, and quality

Lead and coordinate subcontractors and vendors across all phases of construction

Interpret and enforce construction documents, specifications, and technical standards

Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment

Ensure compliance with all jobsite safety regulations (OSHA and internal standards)

Maintain detailed daily field reports and project documentation

Act as the face of the company onsite, representing our commitment to excellence

Qualifications

5+ years as a Superintendent in commercial or industrial construction

Direct experience with cold storage, refrigerated warehouses, or food processing facilities is required

Strong understanding of MEP coordination, refrigeration systems, and insulated metal panel installation

OSHA 30 Certification preferred

Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple trades onsite

Willingness and ability to travel to project sites

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships onsite
