Summary:

We are seeking a District Leader to oversee before- and after-school programs and two full-day childcare centers in the Columbus District. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality care and enrichment while aligning programs with district goals. The District Leader supervises site coordinators and staff, maintains compliance with safety and licensing standards, and fosters an engaging environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide oversight of all before- and after-school programs and two childcare centers, ensuring alignment with district goals and quality standards.

Supervise and support site coordinators and program staff, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.

Monitor program operations to ensure compliance with licensing, safety, and organizational policies.

Collaborate with families, schools, and community partners to enhance program effectiveness.

Oversee scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure smooth daily operations.

Support curriculum development and enrichment activities that promote student growth and engagement.

Track program performance, enrollment, and outcomes, and report regularly to leadership.

Assist with budgeting, grant compliance, and resource management for assigned programs.

Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for students and staff.

Performance Expectations:

Maintain strong leadership presence across sites, demonstrating initiative and accountability.

Communicate effectively with staff, families, and community partners.

Ensure safe, nurturing, and enriching environments for children.

Uphold high standards of customer service and problem-solving.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, Human Services, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in childcare, youth development, or program management, including staff supervision.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of childcare licensing standards, child development, and enrichment programming. Strong leadership, organizational, and supervisory skills. Ability to build positive relationships with staff, families, and partners. Effective problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and program management systems.
