This is a senior-level technical engineering role within the Markets Technology Services team. The Principal Integration Engineer will play a central role in delivering and supporting enterprise-grade integrations across Aztec’s private markets application landscape — including eFront, Yardi, Medius, Databricks, and key reporting, analytics, and investor services platforms.
Using a modern Microsoft and MuleSoft-based integration stack — including C#, .NET, SQL, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Integration Services, and the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform — you will develop secure, scalable, and maintainable integrations that underpin Aztec’s high-touch, high-tech operating model.
This is a hands-on role with strategic importance in delivering automation, straight-through processing, and enterprise data sharing at scale
Key responsibilities:
Integration Development & Delivery
Design, build, and maintain high-quality integration solutions using C#/.NET, SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Integration Services, and MuleSoft
Develop APIs, reusable connectors, and pipelines across systems such as eFront Invest/Debt, Yardi Voyager, Medius, Databricks, and structured reporting environments
Support both real-time and batch integrations for business-critical processes across investor onboarding, fund accounting, cash processing, and reporting
Client Connectivity & Data Exchange
Deliver secure, scalable client data exchanges through:
SFTP for scheduled extracts and uploads
Delta Data Sharing (DDS) via Databricks
RESTful APIs for direct client system integrations
Configure and support industry specific third-party data exchange platforms such as GoConnect and Atlas, aligning with Aztec’s standardised data model and client delivery framework
Integration Platform Support
Design and maintain MuleSoft APIs, flows, and reusable components via Anypoint Studio
Administer API Manager, monitor platform health, and enforce security policies aligned with enterprise architecture standards
Collaborate with solution architects and enterprise architects to ensure alignment with broader integration architecture and roadmap
Cross-Team Collaboration
Work collaboratively with:
Integration engineers across the wider Technology department to ensure consistency and reusability
Application and platform owners across Markets and Enterprise services
Data and reporting engineers to deliver integration-enabled data pipelines and automation
Operational Support & Documentation
Provide Level 2/3 support for integration incidents and system interoperability issues
Maintain and enforce technical documentation and support procedures for all integrations under your remit
Ensure adherence to Aztec’s standards for security, audit, and regulatory compliance (e.g. GDPR, ISO27001, SOC2)
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Essential
5+ years’ experience in integration development, preferably in an enterprise environment
Hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (API design, API Manager, DataWeave transformations, RAML/Swagger specifications)
Good understanding of integration design patterns (API-led connectivity, synchronous/asynchronous messaging, batch)
Proven experience developing secure, scalable integrations between SaaS, on-prem, and cloud-based systems (e.g., eFront, Yardi, Investran, Quantios)
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps)
Knowledge of data formats and standards (JSON, XML, CSV, SOAP, REST, GraphQL)
Understanding of security best practices (OAuth2, JWT, TLS/SSL, API gateways)
Strong working knowledge of:
C# and .NET
SQL Server and T-SQL
SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Integration Services
Git for source control and CI/CD collaboration
Experience integrating or supporting data exchange with:
Accelex (for portfolio data extraction)
eFront Invest and FIS Investran ( fund accounting)
Quantios / TrustQuay (entity management and company secretarial systems)
Workiva (financial reporting and controls)
Anaplan (for complex waterfall modelling and financial forecasting)
Backend database knowledge of eFront Invest — including table structure, relationships, and data lineage — would be a significant advantage.
Personal Attributes
Logical and methodical approach to integration design and problem-solving
Comfortable navigating complex business domains and translating them into robust technical solutions
Collaborative, proactive, and capable of engaging across stakeholders with varying technical knowledge
Highly delivery-focused and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
