Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Quality Assurance Nurse Practitioner (NP)/ Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality care across our clinical services. As a key member of the healthcare quality team, the QANP/PA will collaborate with physicians, staff, and leadership to evaluate and improve patient outcomes, adherence to clinical protocols, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive chart reviews to ensure adherence to clinical protocols and best practices.
Evaluate the quality of patient care, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA, Medicare).
Collaborate with clinical teams to identify areas for improvement in patient care and develop strategies to address gaps.
Review and assess the effectiveness of treatment plans and interventions.
Participate in audits, performance improvement initiatives, and root cause analyses.
Develop and implement training programs for clinical staff on quality assurance best practices and compliance.
Ensure timely documentation and reporting of quality assurance findings, improvements, and outcomes.
Provide expertise in clinical guidelines and ensure appropriate clinical protocols are being followed.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and healthcare industry trends.
Work closely with healthcare providers to promote patient safety, patient satisfaction, and overall quality improvement.
Qualifications:
Current Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA) licensure.
Master’s degree in nursing.
Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
3+ years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in a healthcare quality or clinical settings.
Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, clinical standards, and quality improvement methodologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Previous Wound Care experience.
Ability to evaluate complex patient care situations and implement improvement plans.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Previous experience in a quality assurance or healthcare auditing role is preferred.
Certification in quality improvement or healthcare quality (e.g., CPHQ) is a plus.
