Title:Rigging Specialist (ExPat)

KBR is providing Project Management Services encompassing Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning phase execution supporting KBR’s client Sonangol’s multi-billion-dollar grass roots Lobito Refinery Project in Angola Africa.

KBR is looking for a Rigging Specialist to assist the project team by providing input to identify key success factors, timing of design and procurement deliverables, and establishing common work breakdown structures.

This position is located in Lobito, Angola.

Responsibilities:

Ensures the safe execution of all aspects of rigging execution, crane operations, heavy lifting, equipment and material transportation & handling.

Ensures contractor follows procedures for crane inspections, crane operator certifications, construction equipment inspections.

Ensures the safe execution of offloading heavy equipment from the Marine offloading facility and transport to the temporary and permanent location.

Conduct routine inspections of all rigging, crane and construction equipment.

Attend job site tool box meetings and inspect quality of field Job Safety Analysis (JSA) documents.

Qualifications:

Typically requires 20+ years of experience in the rigging industry

At least 10 + years in a supervisory role

Experience in Fabrication, Piping & Steel Structure

Proven ability with large scale EPC projects

Must have ability to communicate fluently in both spoken and written English
