Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management or public administration or Criminal Justice, Social Sciences (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Criminology), or other field commensurate with job duties; 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position, and/or law enforcement; Ohio Peace Officer Training Certification (OPOTC); valid driver's license.

Or 5 yrs. trg. or 5 yrs. exp. in business administration, management or public administration or law enforcement; Ohio Peace Officer Training Certification (OPOTC); valid driver's license.

About Us:

The Ohio Casino Control Commission has the responsibility to ensure the integrity of casino gaming, sports gaming, skill-based amusement machines and fantasy contests by licensing, regulating, investigating and enforcing state laws.

What We Do:

The Ohio Casino Control Commission is a bipartisan regulatory body made up of seven Commissioners, an Executive Director and supporting staff that provides oversight of the casino gaming industry in Ohio. To fulfill the mission and the responsibilities of the Commission, the Executive Director oversees eight divisions that provide critical functions to ensure the integrity of casino gaming\: communications, enforcement, legal counsel, licensing & investigations (casino gaming & fantasy contests), operations, regulatory compliance, responsible gambling and skill games.

General Information:

Only applicants with current OPOTA Peace Officer certification will be considered for this position.

Exposed to hostile persons/situations &/or physical violence.

May require overnight travel &/or working prolonged & irregular hours.

Compensation

Starting compensation for this position is $39.22 hourly/$81,578 annually with the opportunity to advance in pay after six months. This position is in Pay Range 14, please visit Pay Range Table for more information.

Background Check Information

The final candidate will be required to submit to an extensive background check, drug test, physical, etc.

Drug Screening

All final applicants tentatively selected for this position will be required to submit to urinalysis to test for illegal drug use prior to appointments. Testing will also be performed for the presence of marijuana. An applicant with a positive test shall not be offered employment unless the applicant submits medical documentation of legally prescribed medications or a recommendation for medical marijuana.

What You'll Do:

Provide technical assistance, training, and work direction to Gaming Enforcement Agents and Gaming Enforcement Investigator.

Review investigative reports and case files to ensure all criminal and regulatory violations are properly documented and addressed.

Manage the collection, preservation, and preparation of evidence for criminal and regulatory cases.

Compile and disseminate intelligence information to various law enforcement and regulatory entities.

Serve as a liaison with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and prosecutors.

Ensure casino equipment and operations comply with Ohio Casino Control Commission (OCCC) rules and regulations.

Assist with the State of Ohio Time Out Ohio Program to help individuals with problem gambling.
