LEAD PROCESS ENGINEER
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Lead Process Engineer to join our well-established client based in Gloucester on a full-time permanent basis.

Hours of Work:
37 hours per week, MONDAY - THURSDAY: 8.30AM – 5.00PM & FRIDAY: 8.30AM - 3.30PM
Salary:
Competitive, based on experience - £45K-£55K

Day-to-Day Duties:
Drive process optimisation and continuous improvement across manufacturing
Implement and maintain process controls, SOPs, and production process maps
Lead PFMEA and Control Plan activities, supporting Quality teams
Analyse manufacturing data to improve efficiency, flow, and reduce waste
Support new product introductions and Lean improvement activities
Troubleshoot process issues and enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
Report on Process Engineering KPIs and support annual improvement plans
Essential Skills:
Strong Process Engineering experience in manufacturing
APQP knowledge (PPAP, PSW, PFMEA, Control Plans)
Experience with process tools: Yamazumi, MOST, Value Stream Mapping, SPC, Spaghetti Diagrams
Problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills
Ability to read engineering drawings (GD&T)
Organised, methodical, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
Excellent communication and mentoring skills
Experience managing a team
Lean manufacturing experience (Single Piece Flow, SMED, 5S, Jidoka)
Familiarity with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Gantt charts)
Driving license and flexibility to travel
Training:
