Who are YOU?
You are an Air Quality Scientist with minimum of one year experience, ready to support our U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) Environmental Services Assistance Team (ESAT) contract.
This position is contingent upon contract award. We are currently seeking qualified candidates to include in our proposal for an upcoming government contract. Employment is not guaranteed and is dependent upon the company winning the contract and receiving customer authorization to proceed. Qualifications
What does your day/week look like?
You will attend EPA training sessions for certification in “National Performance Audit Program (NPAP), PM2.5 Performance Evaluation Program (PEP) and Pb-PEP Field Scientist Workshop”.
You will conduct on-site audits by collecting and analyzing air samples for particulate matter (PM2.5), Pb, SO2, NOx, CO, and O3.
You will operate and maintain analytical equipment and air samplers following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs).
You will prepare weekly trip reports and monthly progress reports using Microsoft Office software.
You will carry out property management duties, such as performing inventories and maintaining certifications on equipment and analytical standards.
You will perform annual reviews of SOPs and provide recommendations for changes.
What do you need for this amazing opportunity?
A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related science field
Legal U.S. citizenship, with ability to obtain and maintain state and federal security clearances
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Good written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and changing environment; flexible and quickly adaptable to changing priorities
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
A valid driver’s license and safe driving record
