Business Analyst

We are working with a multinational financial services company specialising in online trading who is seeking to onboard a Business Analyst to join their team in Limassol.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for software development projects.

Translate business needs into clear, actionable software specifications and functional documentation.

Ensure alignment between software solutions and organizational objectives by working closely with key business leaders.

Offer insights on leveraging technology to improve and support operational processes.

Serve as a bridge between business teams and software development teams, facilitating effective communication and mutual understanding.

Develop comprehensive user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria to guide development efforts.

Support development teams throughout sprint planning, execution, and delivery cycles.

Maintain thorough documentation of business requirements, workflows, and functional specifications to serve as a reference for all involved parties.

Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) by coordinating with stakeholders and addressing issues raised during testing phases.

Identify and recommend improvements in software systems and business processes based on user feedback and project insights.

Assess risks and challenges associated with business requirements and collaborate with relevant teams to develop mitigation strategies.

Monitor and communicate project progress, issues, and changes to stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.

Promote a collaborative working environment that encourages transparency between business and technical teams.

Facilitate knowledge sharing and provide training or guidance to end-users on new system features or updates.

REQUIREMENTS:

fluent in English, with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably within the financial technology (FX) or related industries.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert business needs into well-defined technical requirements.

Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience aligning software development efforts with broader business goals and priorities.

Familiarity with agile methodologies and participation in sprint planning and execution is a plus.

Proficiency in creating detailed documentation, including user stories, use cases, and system workflows.

Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and best practices in requirement management and testing.
