Position Title: Content Writer Industry: Fintech Location: Nairobi, Kenya Reports To: Marketing Lead Position Summary: We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Content Writer to join our marketing team in Nairobi.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging, high-quality written content that boosts brand visibility, enhances audience engagement, and strengthens our digital footprint.

This role involves researching industry-related topics, writing well-structured articles, optimizing content for SEO, and publishing on our platforms.

The Content Writer will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with the overall marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities: Primary Responsibilities Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress). Produce quality writing that resonates with the target audience and enhances brand awareness.

Research industry-related topics, global fintech trends, competitors, and market insights.

Conduct keyword research and apply SEO guidelines to optimize blog topics and posts.

Identify gaps in content and recommend new topics.

Create and publish blog posts on WordPress.

Stay updated on industry trends to support content development.

Develop compelling headlines and engaging copy that captures audience attention.

Secondary Responsibilities Manage and complete multiple content writing projects within set deadlines and specifications.

Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in branding, style, and messaging.

Perform additional content-related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

2–3 years’ proven experience as a content writer, copywriter, or similar role.

Proven record of excellent writing, supported by a professional portfolio.

Strong attention to detail with exceptional editing and proofreading skills.

Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to write short, engaging, and impactful copy.

Proficiency in SEO best practices and web-based writing.

Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and manage multiple projects.
