Job Description
This role is the first point of contact for patients and visitors in our medical office. You will be responsible for providing a welcoming environment, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth patient flow through a combination of excellent customer service and organizational skills.
Patient Interaction: Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional, and compassionate manner.
Appointment Management: Schedule appointments, manage the provider's calendar, and notify staff of patient arrivals.
Communication: Answer phones, direct calls, and respond to patient inquiries and questions efficiently.
Financial Duties: Verify insurance information, collect co-payments and deductibles, and process patient payments.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, update patient information, and ensure data integrity in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Administrative Support: Perform clerical tasks, prepare medical files, and assist medical staff with administrative duties as needed.
Office Maintenance: Keep the reception area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary stationery and forms.
Confidentiality: Strictly adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality for all personal and financial information.
