POSITION TITLE: INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE - DISTRIBUTION
DEPARTMENT: SALES
REPORTS TO: SALES MANAGER - DISTRIBUTION
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The distribution inside sales representative is responsible for quoting new and existing opportunities, managing existing accounts, assist in development/growth with new accounts, and achieve sales objectives established by the Distribution Sales Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
Manage service center/distribution accounts while maintaining positive customer relationships.
Qualify new potential distributors/ setting up new accounts / following first order to a successful delivery.
Work with the outside sales representative to establish, manage, and grow new potential distributor accounts and ship to’s within current customer base
Quoting of new custom shapes and standard shapes- working directly with outside sales and the Distribution Sales Manager
Issue pricing and lead time for quotes, follow up on quotes, and provide feedback to the Distribution Sales Manager.
Issue monthly price sheets
Respond promptly to customer inquiries- within one hour to 24 hours depending upon the inquiry.
Direct requests and unresolved issues to the designated resource
Communicate and coordinate with internal departments
Communicate daily with the Scheduling department on Hot items as needed
Coordination of shipping schedules and delivery of metal with sales and customers
Clear ability to multi-task, learn and leverage a variety of application
Handle and resolve customer complaints in a positive and professional manner

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent
A minimum of 3 years experience and knowledge of sales/customer service principles and practices
Knowledge of relevant computer applications
Knowledge of administrative procedures
Product knowledge
