Alstom has been providing sustainable infrastructure solutions in Australia for more than 100 years and is working on of the industry largest singinalling projects alongside BHP. The project currently employs approximately 1,600 people across more than 25 sites that include Engineering centers, manufacturing facilities, project delivery offices and maintenance depots & workshops. Alstom look to improve their operations of their networks through the provision of the latest, advanced signalling technologies including Interlockings, ETCS level 1 & 2 and CBTC for industrial rail.This is a 24 month contract based in our perth CBD office.
Overview
Be the technical representative to the project core team, supplier, customer and any external parties for both local and offshore.
Be interface point with customer on the technical design solution and resolve the design open points.
Key Responsibilities
Alstom Internal technical design support, review and discussion within Engineering and Core team
Report to System Engineering Manager and align in term of technical solutionWork with Project Engineering Manager to align with overall project deliverables in term of design, req. (SSRS), implementation, V&V, Safety, ECCB and HCB
Ensure the SA design is in line with the Req. and GP/GA product.
Participate in RMS integration discussion, Support ITC and RMS system test team on different interfacing issues.
Manage integration at RMS (at SA level) and coordinate the RMS integration (GA level) for RMS PM. (optional, can be with PEM)
Enforce Engineering management processes.
Understood Engineering obligations in term of standard, process/directive, regulation and ensure the engineering team follows and deliver to it.
Recognise if any changes/impact to Alstom’s obligations and raise Change request awareness.
Alstom External technical support and discussion
Interact with customer on various technical problems and possible solutions.
Extend support/discussion with System Integration team in relation to RMS delivery.
Technical discussion with third party suppliers on interface design/issue
Key Requirements / skills
Bachelor in Engineering
Relevant work experience from similar industry
System interface and project delivery in the same business.
Preference to have IF150 technical knowledge, or CBTC technical solution
