The Position

Roche Pharma Turkiye is looking for a highly motivated Access Medical Partner, which is a dual-focused role, combining deep medical and clinical expertise with a comprehensive understanding of healthcare systems and policy. The role focuses on addressing challenges in patient access to medicines and reimbursement pathways from a medical and systemic perspective. This position requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, healthcare professionals, and especially Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to develop and implement sustainable access models. This individual needs to be a passionate, self-organized, and entrepreneurial leader who will drive patient access to innovative and life-changing medicines by addressing systemic barriers from both a medical and market access perspective.

The roles and responsibilities are to:

Serve as the primary point of contact to ensure physicians, pharmacies, and hospitals receive dedicated medical and systematic support in navigating and solving reimbursement and access matters.

Analyze and address patient access obstacles from both a medical and systemic viewpoint, providing critical feedback to relevant internal units.

Prepare all necessary documentation for drug reimbursement applications.

Collaborate with key opinion leaders (KOLs) to evaluate the scientific, clinical, and economic value of the portfolio and pipeline, assessing the suitability and applicability of access models to identify and address potential barriers to patient access and to propose solutions that address these barriers.

Medically assess challenges arising from current reimbursement conditions with KOLs and provide solution-oriented recommendations.

Contributes to the development of the portfolio and product strategy (commercial, medical, access pre-launch / post-launch) in partnership with the Turkiye Network Enabling team, DA Teams.

Collaborate with DA teams and DA leads to build and deliver clear, compelling scientific value propositions across omni-channel and in-person interactions.

Contribute to product access strategies by identifying potential future barriers in the pipeline and shaping appropriate access models.

Collaborate with NGOs, health institutions to ensure that the advocacy strategies are coherent, consistent, and evidence-based.

Be accountable for maintaining high ethical standards of promotional and non-promotional practices in compliance with local regulations.

Collaborate with internal business partners and chapters to drive capability and obtain the necessary support and resourcing required to deliver on DA goals and work packages.

Acts fully in compliance with Competition Law and Roche Code Of Conduct and all applicable SOPs in carrying out all duties; in this regard, it is of utmost importance to avoid prohibited practices which include (but are not limited to) refraining from intervening in the resale pricing practices of resellers, providing or requesting side offers and not directly or indirectly exchanging strategically sensitive business information of competitor undertakings.

Takes necessary precautions for adherence to legislative requirements, pharma legislations, Law on the Protection of Personal Data, industry code requirements on promotion and ethics and other applicable laws and regulations (i.e. public tender law, interactions with government officials, etc.).

A preferred candidate would be someone with:

A degree in medicine (MD), pharmacy (PharmD).

Strong scientific and medical knowledge, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and compelling messages.

To have worked as a doctor or pharmacist or medical affairs or market access, or healthcare policy engagement for at least 5 years.

Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and facilitate impactful scientific exchanges.

A solid understanding of the healthcare decision-making process in Türkiye, including an understanding of local regulations, policies, and key stakeholders regarding pricing models and reimbursement pathways.

Applies clinical knowledge to design and implement effective reimbursement and market access models.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate and engage with diverse stakeholders, including key opinion leaders (KOLs), pharmacies, hospitals and other relevant parties.
