The Role: Control Room Operator

You will monitor, operate, and control metallurgical processes via SCADA and CCTV, interpret readings, adjust settings, and log shift performance to meet throughput and utilisation targets.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor plant via SCADA and CCTV; perform system checks and early-warning response

Fault-find, decide corrective actions, and escalate to supervisor as needed

Verify levels and equipment settings; adjust to maximise production

Assist with metallurgical test work and maintain accurate documentation

Submit complete end-of-shift reports (hours, delays, breakdowns, incidents, volumes)

Maintain housekeeping and ensure compliance with policies and SHE standards

About You

5+ years diamond mining environment experience, including SCADA/process control on DMS/Recovery

Proficient with SCADA/CCTV operations and MS Office

Strong attention to detail, problem solver, calm under pressure, team player with coaching mindset

Clear criminal record (security clearance required)
