Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hardware Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and improving electronic hardware systems for our products. This includes everything from component selection and schematic design to PCB layout and prototype validation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including software, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop analog and digital hardware systems and circuits.

Create and maintain detailed schematics and PCB layouts using tools like Altium Designer, Eagle, or KiCAD.

Evaluate, select, and qualify electrical components and subsystems.

Develop and execute hardware test plans; perform debugging and validation of prototypes.

Collaborate with software and firmware engineers to ensure hardware-software integration.

Optimize hardware design for performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.

Work with contract manufacturers and suppliers to support production and testing.

Document all hardware development processes and generate detailed technical reports.

Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigation on hardware issues.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in hardware development (or relevant internship/co-op experience).

Proficiency with circuit design and simulation tools (e.g., LTSpice, OrCAD, Altium).

Strong understanding of microcontrollers, SoCs, memory interfaces, power supplies, and signal integrity.

Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, etc.).

Solid understanding of EMI/EMC compliance and PCB design best practices.

Preferred:

Experience in high-speed PCB design and layout.

Familiarity with embedded systems and low-level firmware debugging.

Knowledge of industry standards such as IPC, RoHS, and UL.

Experience with thermal and mechanical considerations in hardware design.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
