We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Digital Visual Merchandising Lead to join our team and drive our future Retail Digital Marketing roadmap.
About the role
The Senior Digital Visual Merchandising Lead will take responsibility for the new and innovative deployment of creative content and interactive storytelling in our stores. This includes the way we use technology to deploy and sync content to build our brand, deliver on our Premium Retailing ambitions and drive trading outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing Content deployment: Develop innovative and new ways to deploy creative marketing content to our store screens. This involves collaborating closely with our Marketing Communications COE to adapt and leverage brand, network and product marketing and advertising assets. Balance the need to simplify messages into fewer, bigger, better initiatives vs our ambition to localize and tailor our content offering to different communities around Australia.
Digital Marketing technology: Manage key vendors that support the management and deployment of marketing content to our screens in our stores. Find innovative and new ways to schedule this content and advertising to showcase messages across multiple screens, in different zones in our different store formats. Liaise directly with our Store Design and Store Tech teams to scope and implement new digital screen formats and manage the backend vendors to enable the change.
Managing trading rhythm. Work closely with Retail Marketing team to schedule marketing and advertising content based on key trading priorities from Brand, Product and Devices teams. Ensure marketing content is deployed accurately based on vendor agreements and joint marketing plans with key strategic partners such as Apple, Google and Samsung. Ensure content is managed carefully based on legally approved start/end dates on trading offers.
Digital Visual Merchandising. We have an ambition to create more immersive, touch and feel experiences in our stores to build our brand. This includes brand activations, audio playlists, interactive speaker, smart home and gaming demo units. It may extend to more touch-screen experiences, and new tech such as holograms, VR or smart lighting.
Evolving our storytelling. Consult into Retail CX and Retail Store Tech teams to integrate key messages and content from the Marketing COE into new solutions such as Mobile POS and Solution Builder. Support these teams on wayfinding and screen messaging to drive awareness of these new experiences with customers.
Collaboration and stakeholder management: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Store Design, Store Tech, Product/Category and Retail CX, to ensure alignment to the Retail 2030 plan. Lead engagements with external vendors, agencies and partners.
Budget and Resource Management: Develop a clear timeline of activities, recommendations for influencing projects, and budget asks to support the implementation of the digital marketing content roadmap.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Digital/Publishing or a related field.
Proven experience in developing and managing digital marketing content in owned media such as stores or paid media
Proven experience navigating and influencing a complex matrix corporate structure
Strong understanding of front-end technical requirement scoping
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in using relevant tools and software.
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Sensitivity to cultural differences and proficiency in local languages is a plus.
