What You'll Do As A Program Administrator 2 with the Drive to Succeed Grant Program:
Within the Ohio Traffic Safety Office (OTSO), provides program direction by relieving superior of variety of difficult administrative duties pertaining to the Drive to Succeed Grant Program:
- Plans, develops & organizes all major aspects, activities & initiatives of Drive to Succeed Grant Program; Plans, writes & implements program goals;
- Prepares grant solicitation packages, grant agreements & contracts;
- Oversees grant applications, award process & grantee use of e-grant system;
- Independently answers complex &/or confidential inquiries; Responds to programmatic issues or needs of leadership, staff or external stakeholders;
- Serves as liaison between administrator & subordinates; Transmits decisions & directives regarding program rules & operating procedures;
- Prepares public-facing materials & maintains websites regarding grant;
- Provides oversight to grantees, conducts meetings & trainings, & gathers & reviews data from grantees;
- Processes disbursements by entering requisitions, verifying grantee documentation, approving invoices, & tracking payments;
- Compiles data & activity reports for management in preparation for meetings, conferences, & reports;
- Coordinates approval & communication with driving schools approved to receive scholarship students;
- Formulates & implements program policy & operational procedures (e.g., researches, develops, & implements new policies, procedures & best practices; communicates policy updates to all stakeholders; makes recommendations & modifications to facilitate end user compliance; provides technical advice to aid director in decision making);
- Represents the Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS) & OTSO at meetings &/or conferences;
Option 1
4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration.
Option 2
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration;
AND 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.
Option 3
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file - Drive to Succeed Program;
AND 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.
Option 4
-Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
