Position: Cook

Location: Gungahlin, ACT

Employment Type: Full-Time

Cook – Full Time Salary: AUD 76,515 plus superannuation

Availability: [Weekdays, Weekends, Evenings and public holidays required]

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook wide variety of Malaysian, some Indian & Chinese style dishes to PappaRich standards

• Season food appropriately during the cooking process

• Ensure food is prepared safely and hygienically

• Regulate temperatures of storage, fridges and various other cooking equipment.

• Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines

• Assist senior Cook or Chef with stock control, inventory, and kitchen preparation.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen

• Minimising wastage through conscious food preparation methods and goods security

• Work efficiently under pressure during busy periods

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in a for at least 1 year (Preference will be given to candidate with experience at Papparich in similar role)

• Sound knowledge of Malaysian, Indian and Chinese style cuisine.

• Preferred candidate having some cookery qualifications- Certificate-IV or equivalent

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards

• Reliability and a positive attitude
