Business Analyst Time & Expenses
how you will contribute
To achieve its ambitious strategy Randstad is moving to a globally harmonized future state operating model. Standardization of tools and processes will support and drive this (digital) transformation. As part of this transformation, we are migrating from scattered local legacy systems to a set of state-of-the-art core systems which include our app, websites, front-, mid- and back-office.
As a business analyst for Time & Expenses you work on the engine of the mid-office process; the timesheets & expenses from our talents in order to get paid and the link towards billing in order to bill our clients. You come from a background where you managed time & expenses and know why it is crucial for a correct administration. You are knowledgeable on staffing rules & regulations, and the way we bill our clients.
your typical day includes
The business analyst is a key factor in our data-driven development. They analyze business processes, business cases, user data and feedback data with the goal of improving the product continuously. With that data, it is guaranteed that the product team and development teams work on the right features, in the optimal way.
The business analyst functions as a liaison between the business and the development team, asking the right questions to establish the exact definition of done for each feature before development is started. As the link between both sides, they understand both the business processes and the development teams, in order to translate business requirements into coding requirements. The mid-office product will be a complex set of processes that ensures orders are fulfilled, placements are made and services are delivered; all in alignment with local laws and regulations in an efficient way.
You are strong at working in a fast paced dynamic with many dependencies and a variety of stakeholders. You can understand complex local requirements, but are also able to provide a helicopter view of how this can be fitted into our global product.
what you will be doing
analyzing the business needs, processes and data to define solutions for complex administrative and legal and regulatory rules;
refining user stories for developers to work on;
facilitating in an agile and scrum way of working, helping in implementation, eg. organization of demos;
design, implement, maintain new services, processes, standards, tools and reporting;
working across projects, from r-one to responsive, multi-platform digital services; make sure processes are covered end-to-end;
collaborating with end users in different countries, other analysts, other programs and suppliers to design services throughout the product life cycle, providing practical solutions to our consultants and leadership;
provide regular progress updates to the team members.
proactive collaboration with the r-one team, Client & Talent delivery team & Process excellence team when it comes to process design.
your background
at least 5 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a digital/multinational surrounding;
preferably experience within an IT department or with sales supporting processes;
strong collaboration skills, able to work across diverse, global teams;
able to get to the bottom of a problem or process;
strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Some data analysis experience preferred;
a keen interest in digital trends and how they impact people and businesses;
ability to consult and identify needs of internal employees, clients and talent to drive value creation on the foundational domain of our business;
solid personality with a critical eye;
excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

about the Talent & Expertise Group in Global IT
Randstad moves toward a more global operating company. To support our vision and strategy, we have introduced the Talent & Expertise Group (TEG) within Global IT. TEG is a group of about 100 employees in Global IT, who work on various programs and projects. The functional day to day guidance of the TEG individual is managed with the program/project, TEG is the homebase. Each community is built upon a certain area of expertise. The global cross program change & implementation manager role is part of the implementation & change management community of practice.
