This role involves supporting day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and contributing to efficient financial management.
Key Responsibilities Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and sales, to provide financial guidance on automotive projects and investments.
Manage junior accounting staff and contribute to process improvements.
Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support operational efficiency in automotive manufacturing and distribution.
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, IFRS standards, and industry-specific financial requirements in Kenya, Uganda, and DRC.
Conduct internal audits, identify financial risks, and implement controls to mitigate them.
Prepare management reports and present financial data to senior leadership.
Handle financial aspects of supply chain management, inventory valuation, and cost accounting specific to the automotive industry.
Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification or equivalent professional certification.
3-5 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry, with a proven track record in financial management and reporting.
Required Skills and Competencies Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
Language Requirements Fluency in Kiswahili, English, French (both written and spoken) will be an added advantage.
