Job Description:

The Full-Time Permanent Substitute Special Education Teacher will be responsible for implementing lesson plans for students with developmental disabilities in accordance with NYSED Guidelines.

12 month position (school calendar plus 6 week summer session)

Hours: 8:00-3:00 Monday to Friday

12 month salary: Commensurate with Education and experience

Bachelors: $48,300

Masters: $51,500

Medical, dental, vision and Aflac plans available; generous PTO; paid school breaks and holidays; 403B plan

The successful candidate will possess:

NYSED certification: Students with Disabilities Birth - Grade 2,

Students with Disabilities 1-6, or Students with Disabilities All Grades

Excellent organizational, interpersonal and collaborative skills

Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members

Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis highly preferred

Bi-lingual a plus

Ability to implement differentiated instruction in accordance with NYSED standards
