Job Description:PNA is searching for a Welding Operator on 1st shift who is responsible for basic welding to produce per quality specifications in an efficient and safe manner.
This role is located at our Charlotte, NC manufacturing facility.PNA Construction Technologies is a business unit of ITW-Illinois Tool Works and specializes in the manufacture and supply of innovative products for the concrete flooring industry.

Requirements:\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\nTack Welding experience preferred.\nExperience in use of hand tools, including battery powered hand tools, and pneumatic tools.\nManufacturing experience highly preferred (setup, operate, and knowledge of preventative maintenance).\nFocus on quality control.\nClear ability to communicate & instruct on welding assembly.\nTeam player - able to collaborate with colleagues.\nMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds.\n\nCore Responsibilities:\nPerforms ordinary and repetitive hand welding operations.\nOperates Welding equipment, regulates current and voltage for proper fusion of metals.\nSelects size and type of rod or wire appropriate for metal and welding application.\nMakes decisions consistent with priorities set forth by Production Manager or Plant Manager.\nContributes to team effort by accomplishing results as needed for daily production goals.\nFollows all safety policies, rules, and best practices.\nFacilitate learning/training through a variety of delivery methods including hands-on, and one-on-one to welders of varying skill levels.\nAbility to communicate the process of welding plates in alignment with your current position title.\nMust be able to test production line units and troubleshoot for production lines.\n\n\nReviews present equipment, production procedures and makes recommendations that may improve productivity and reduce operation cost.\nCommunicates all issues to Production Manager or Plant Manager to obtain additional resources, or resolutions.\n\n\nPrioritizes and maintains workflow and ensures use of proper tools and materials.\nInteracts with teammates to resolve problems that interfere with productivity and our culture of respect, trust, and integrity.\n\n\nDocument actions by completing quality assurance forms consistently and accurately.\nAccurately reports daily production.\n\nOther duties assigned by Production Manager or other members of management.\nWork Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this position, within typical manufacturing working conditions.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be exposed to fumes, heat and dust, climate variances and moving mechanical equipment typically found in a manufacturing environment.
The noise level in the work environment is high when exposed to the manufacturing areas.
