Job Title: Quality Inspector

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join our well-established client based in Dudley on a full-time permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering an amazing annual salary and room to grow and progress.

Hours of Work

Full-time – Monday to Friday, standard hourspm Monday - Thursday and 8.00am to 3.30pm Friday

Salary

Competitive salary based on experience - £38,000 to £45,000 per annum.

Exposure to heavy machining, fabrication, and precision engineering inspection

Day-to-Day Duties

Perform Goods-In, In-Process, and final inspections on materials and finished parts using manual inspection and/or CMM equipment

Compile FAIR reports on goods prior to despatch in line with company QMS

Raise Non-Conformance and Corrective Action reports as required

Maintain calibration controls and recall schedules for inspection equipment

Report defects to Production/Quality Manager before despatch and completion of C of C documentation

Attend customer premises when required to support quality discussions

Complete minor re-works or assembly tasks when needed

Essential Skills

Educated to a minimum HNC level in an engineering discipline

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Skilled in using manual inspection equipment

Experience in heavy fabrication, machining, and material production processes

IT literate, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Experienced in OH Craning and slinging

Full, clean UK driving licence

Able to work on own initiative

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Skills

Previous engineering inspection experience

Experience using Faro Arm

Training

On-the-job training provided for company processes and inspection systems

Ongoing support and development within the Production & Quality department
