Job Description *Up to $2,500 Placement + Retention Bonus* Important Note: To be considered for this role, candidates must hold a current Arizona state license through the Arizona Department of Health Services, as well as a valid Speech-Language Pathologist certificate from the Arizona Department of Education.

Speech Language Pathologist Key Responsibilities:Assessments & Evaluations: Conduct compliant, formalized, and dynamic assessments to determine educational eligibility and level of functioning.

Complete observations and evaluations, manage annual and triennial reviews, and develop compliant IEPs while participating in multi-disciplinary teams.Treatment Planning: Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and coordinate treatment plans that ensure educational benefit.Consultation & Instruction: Work closely with team members and families to maximize the generalization of target skill sets.

You may also oversee and support the Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), including monitoring supervision hours and promoting ongoing professional development.Data Collection & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student progress, including therapy notes and assessment data, utilizing research-based data for monitoring and reporting.Time Off Management: Full-time school employees are encouraged to schedule time off during school breaks.

Requests will be reviewed and approved by the supervisor to ensure minimal disruption to normal operations.

Speech Language Pathologist Qualifications:Licensure: Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are delivered or eligibility to obtain such licensure.Certifications: Department of Education certification (if applicable), along with any relevant certifications (e.g., CPR, CPI) as needed.Experience: Ideally, one year of experience in speech therapy; clinical fellows or RPE candidates are welcome.Clearances: DOJ/FBI Livescan background check and TB clearance required.

Must be eligible to work in the US.Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities; knowledge of evidence-based practices and special education programs preferred.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Speech Language Pathologist Physical Demands:Environment: Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes.Activity: Frequent engagement in tasks such as reaching, handling, standing, walking, and lifting items up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.Sensory: Ability to perform essential job functions with or without assistive devices or accommodations, including working in moderate to high noise levels.
