Job OverviewResponsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Welding Machines to ensure quality parts are produced and provided to the customer in a timely manner.

In addition to primary welding functions assistance on steel assembly and CNC Operations is a plus.A Day In The Life\nSet-up and operate all Welding equipment and fixtures in a safe and efficient manner.\nSet-up and adjust welding machine to achieve a quality product.\nPerform first piece and continual inspections of parts using precision measuring instruments.\nPerform daily upkeep and routine maintenance, keeping equipment and production area in good working order.\nFollow instructions from lead person and supervisors.\nPerform minor maintenance on welding equipment and fixtures.\nRequest needed supplies for welding department.\nComply with and support all aspects of the company's quality management program.\nInstruct lesser skilled employees in the welding area.\nDoes not require Continental to provide accommodations that compromise performance quality.\nWhen reliable dependable performance requires reliable and dependable attendance, an employer can insist all employees, including those with disabilities, meet attendance requirements.\n\nWhat will help you thrive in this role?\nBasic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills normally acquired through a high school diploma or GED.\nMust have one (1) year experience in welding or minimum of six (6) months as a Welding C.\nGeneral knowledge of precision measuring instruments.\nGeneral understanding of basic welding operations\nMust be able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.\nAbility to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions.\nAbility to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.\nStanding at one station for up to two hours at a time\nWork in welding hood, gloves, safety glasses, and other proper welding protective equipment.\nWork in temperatures of up to 100 degrees at times.\nOccasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.\nUse of hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects.\nWork usually takes place in a manufacturing environment where conditions can be reflective of the outside elements.\n\nHubbell IncorporatedHubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
