Job Description
Our company is currently seeking a Full Time Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer to join our firm! You will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records and preparation of individual and business tax returns.
Responsibilities:
Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
Record and reconcile asset, liability and income statement accounts
Preparation of payroll and related reports
Check the accuracy of business transactions
Perform data entry and administrative duties
Prepare quarterly and annual reports
Review data on reports and detect possible errors
Ensure compliance with government tax rules
Qualifications:
Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
Previous experience with QuickBooks/QuickBooks Online
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Strong organizational skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Advanced MS Office skills (particularly in using Excel)
Effective verbal and written communication skills
