Looking for a highly driven person who wants to join a growing company in the energy efficiency industry.
About us - We are looking for an HR Manager who has excellent people, communication, and organizational skills to join our team. This is an in-office position at our Westerville office. Our business is with new home builders and HVAC contractors. Previous experience in the construction industry is a huge benefit but not required. Office environment is very casual and down to earth.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from accredited degree program with minimum of 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, required
Fundamental knowledge of labor and employment laws.
Maintain confidential information
Interpret Human Resources policies and procedures
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Active listening skills, responsive, and strong follow-up practices
Experience in conflict resolution
Approachable, proactive, and professional attitude
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and timely documentation
Good judgment to identify problems, escalate issues, and request prioritization of responsibilities

This position is 100% in-office, Monday-Friday
Pay
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
Administrative
Support company culture and values
Administer employee information changes and ensure data integrity in HR systems
Participate in the investigation and guidance for disciplinary actions
Maintain personnel files to ensure legal compliance and manage records retention
Assist in HR related audit requests
Respond to requests for employment verification and update report programs for government agencies
Other duties as assigned by management
Recruiting activities:
Accountable for managing the recruiting, hiring and staffing of all personnel
Manage ATS postings and dispositioning unqualified candidates
Coordinate interviews; communicate with applicants and candidates
Execute new hire and employment processes:
Administer background checks, drug screenings, and new hire paperwork
Conduct new hire orientation sessions and serve as a point of contact for new hires for HR policy and procedures
Distribute onboarding materials to new hires
Benefits
Administer and coordinate benefits programs
Disseminate benefits and company policy communications
Maintain up-to-date benefits knowledge to support employees (e.g., leaves of absence, auto allowances, and vacations)
Support Benefits open enrollment process
Payroll
Review and maintain employee timecards
Prepare job / hours reports

Tacoma Energy provides Energy Certifications and analysis of single and multi family homes to ensure they pass code, Energy Star, Tax Credit, and other certifications. They are also responsible for home inspections for new construction homes, as well as HVAC design. Tacoma Energy has years’ of experience in the field of Energy Auditing, Training, Testing, Managing, Manual J,D, and S calculations for Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, Energy modeling through Performance and Building Code Support. Today we have locations in multiple cities and continue to expand.
