Our client has an immediate need for additional educators with their certification in Special Education.

A Special Education Teacher creates and implements tailored lessons for students with learning, physical, cognitive, or emotional disabilities by developing individualized education programs (IEPs), adapting curriculum, and collaborating with families and other educators to foster academic, social, and emotional growth within an inclusive setting.

Daily duties include assessing student needs, modifying instruction, maintaining detailed records, monitoring progress, and advocating for student accommodations to ensure they achieve their full potential.

This important role will develop, modify, and update IEPs for each student, setting personalized goals and outlining specific strategies to meet their unique needs and comply with legal standards like the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

Prepare and deliver lessons, adapt general education curriculum to accommodate various learning styles and abilities, and use diverse teaching methods, including one-on-one and small group instruction.

Regularly assess students' skills and progress through formal and informal methods, track their performance, and use the data to inform instruction and update IEPs.

The Special Ed team works closely with parents, caregivers, and other professionals, including general education teachers, to develop a comprehensive approach to the student's education.

Our goal is to promote an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive and advocate for necessary accommodations to support students with disabilities in the classroom.

These positions require excellent documentation skills to maintain detailed and accurate student records, including progress reports and assessment data, for educational and legal purposes.

We are seeking candidates with specialized knowledge of various disabilities, including learning, mental, emotional, and physical. Successful candidates will have a proficiency in behavior management techniques as well as adapt instruction and curriculum for individual needs.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Understanding of special education laws and regulations.
