Soldering Technician

Job Description

Join our aerospace manufacturing team as a Soldering Technician specializing in through-hole soldering. In this role, you will assemble and solder electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) following JTD and aerospace quality standards. Responsibilities include precision soldering, component placement, inspection, and rework to ensure all products meet rigorous industry requirements. The ideal candidate has experience with through-hole soldering, strong attention to detail, steady hands, and familiarity with IPC/J-STD workmanship standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform through-hole soldering of electronic components onto PCBs per drawings, schematics, and JTD/IPC standards.

Inspect solder joints, assemblies, and components to verify workmanship and compliance with specifications.

Rework and repair soldered connections as required.

Operate hand tools, soldering irons, microscopes, and related equipment.

Maintain documentation of completed work, inspections, and repairs.

Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve soldering or assembly issues.

Follow all company, ESD, and aerospace safety protocols.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training a plus.

2+ years of soldering experience in aerospace, defense, or electronics manufacturing.

Proficiency in through-hole soldering; IPC J-STD-001 or equivalent certification strongly preferred.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.

Strong attention to detail and steady hand coordination.

Familiarity with ESD procedures and quality inspection practices.
