Purpose
The International Markets Development Division (IMDD) is responsible for expanding and managing Chiesi's operations in international markets. This division focuses on portfolio strategy, commercial excellence, and the integration of various business units to enhance the company's presence and performance in growth and core markets.
We are looking for a motivated colleague to join the team on a temporary rotation as Business Intelligence & Commercial Excellence Sr. Specialist.
The purpose of the role is to enable data-driven decision-making by transforming market, performance, and competitive data into actionable business insights. This role supports the PS&CE division in driving portfolio planning, geographic expansion, and new product launch strategies by delivering analytical inputs and performance tracking.
Main Responsibilities
Drive Commercial & Portfolio Insights to Support Strategic Decision-Making
Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitive dynamics to generate actionable insights
Develop regular dashboards and performance reports to inform internal stakeholders and leadership
Support Portfolio and Geo-Expansion Strategies Through Robust Market Analytics
Consolidate and analyze cross-market data to support market entry strategies
Provide data-driven recommendations on new product launches, lifecycle decisions, and geographic expansion

Consolidate and analyze cross-market data to support market entry strategies
Provide data-driven recommendations on new product launches, lifecycle decisions, and geographic expansion
Collaborate with Lifecycle & Launch Excellence Lead and Head of PS&CE to evaluate commercial potential and readiness
Enhance Commercial Intelligence Tools and Capabilities
Maintain and continuously improve reporting tools and templates to increase efficiency and scalability
Support the transition from ad hoc Excel-based tools to standardize platforms (e.g. Power BI, other reporting tools)
Ensure consistent definitions and KPIs across markets to enable cross-market comparability
Support Business Reviews and Performance Tracking
Prepare quarterly and ad hoc performance reports for leadership and BU Heads
Coordinate data inputs from internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Finance and Partners) for consolidated reporting
Ensure data integrity and alignment across all reporting streams
Experience & Skills Required
At least 5 years of experience in business intelligence, commercial analytics, strategic planning or Finance (financial controlling) roles, ideally in pharma or life sciences
Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Excel)
A highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with strong business acumen and finance experience, able to translate complex data into strategic insights and effectively support decision-making processes across cross-functional teams
Experienced in performance monitoring and market analytics
Education
BSc Degree, preferably in Finance, Business or Economics
Soft Skills
Excellent communication and storytelling skills to present insights to non-technical stakeholders
Experience supporting cross-functional teams with data-driven recommendations
Ability to build and foster relationships with stakeholders and influence decision-making
Ability to work simultaneously on different projects
Languages
Fluent in English
Location
Preferrably based in the HQ in Parma, Italy. If not, availability to travel to HQ required.
