Grinder

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Surface or Blanchard Grinder at New England Grinding and Machining LLC, located in Bridgeport, CT. The Grinder will be responsible for operating machines to grind surfaces of metal parts to specifications, setting up and adjusting machine tools, inspecting finished products for accuracy, maintaining equipment, and following safety protocols. Daily tasks include reading blueprints, selecting grinding wheels, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications

Experience with Surface Grinding and Blanchard Grinding

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Knowledge of machine setup, operation, and maintenance

Familiarity with inspection tools and techniques for precision measurement

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Relevant certifications and experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus

High school diploma or equivalent; trade school education preferred
