The Team Manager - Transfers at Youfoodz will oversee and coordinate the safe and efficient transfer of cooked, ready-to-eat products into the high-risk production area, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.
The role provides leadership to the transfer team, maintaining high levels of hygiene, documentation accuracy, and operational efficiency while fostering a culture of safety and accountability.

Week One: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday
Week Two: Wednesday to Friday Working hours: We are hiring for two Team Managers. One will cover the 4.30am - 1.30pm shift and the other will cover the 1pm - 10pm shift.
You will…
Supervise Transfer Operations: Oversee the transfer and receival of cooked, ready-to-eat products into the high-risk production area, ensuring efficient and timely operations.
Food Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards, including BRCGS 9.0 and HACCP requirements, with all products meeting regulatory and company expectations.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead, train, and support a medium-sized team, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide regular feedback, manage leave, and oversee timesheet accuracy in conjunction with the relevant manager.
Monitoring & Documentation: Ensure accurate completion of records, including Critical Control Points (CCP) checks and pre-start safety checklists, maintaining audit readiness.
Hygiene & Sanitation Oversight: Monitor hygiene practices and enforce sanitation procedures in the high-risk transfer area to prevent contamination.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve transfer processes, increasing efficiency while safeguarding product integrity.
Incident Management: Respond promptly to non-conformances or incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Stock Management / FIFO: Conduct stock checks, remove expired stock, process returns to WIP, and ensure FIFO practices are followed to maintain efficient warehouse organisation.
Communication & Coordination: Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues.

You have/are…
At least two yearsʼ experience in a food manufacturing environment
Previous experience in a high volume, fast paced work environment
Experience in Food Safety practices, HACCP and WH&S principles
Experience in leading teams
Ability to follow and provide instructions accurately and efficiently
Sound communication skills, including understanding of and conversational ability in the
English language, both written and verbal
The ability to think and act quickly and efficiently
Ability to work as part of a team, lead and motivate people
High levels of resilience, professionalism and work ethic
Approachable, energetic and flexible in approach
High standards of personal presentation and hygiene
Desirable:
Experience within an FMCG environment
Kitchen experience
Certificate III in Food Processing
Certificate II or III in Commercial Cookery
Certificate I, II or III in Food Safety
