JOB DETAILS: Job Purpose The Business and Investment Analyst is responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of investment requests and market opportunities in Uganda.

Responsibilities Analyze investment requests including memos, business plans, quotations, and supporting documents.
Conduct comprehensive market analysis covering competition, regulatory frameworks, taxation, financial data, and overall business environment.
Evaluate project risks and provide timely alerts and recommendations to management.
Prepare business plans, retro-planning schedules, and full project reports/ analyses.
Research information from multiple sources (e.g., web, legal bodies, industry associations, suppliers, banks, advisors). Coordinate with internal departments to ensure alignment and support for investment projects.
Collaborate with external stakeholders including banks, suppliers, and advisors on project-related matters.
Provide periodic updates and insights to the Management Team on ongoing projects and new opportunities.
Support the Regional Team and COMEX with accurate data and analysis to inform strategic decisions.
Person Specification Education, Training,Skills & Experience Key Skills and Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Knowledge of project management tools and methods.
Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (CPA qualification is an advantage). Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
Experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) is an added advantage.
Demonstrated ability to research and synthesize information from diverse sources.
Conduct market analyses to identify potential growth opportunities.
Prepare investment business plans and reports for management decision- making.
Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
