About the program:

AIR6500 is the RAAF’s $3 billion program to develop a joint air battle management system that builds on the capabilities offered by Next Generation sensor and command and control systems. AIR6500 will create a fully networked ‘system of systems’ that synchronises air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments, maximising situational awareness and enhancing the speed of decision making across the battlespace.

Your responsibilities will include:

As an ILS Analyst on the AIR6500 program, you will support the ILS Team Lead in planning and delivering Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) work packages within an Agile framework. You’ll conduct LSA studies, evaluate engineering design concepts, capture LSA data, and develop required plans, studies, and reports. You'll also engage with customers to define and tailor the LSA program, providing expert advice across the business.

In this role, you will:

Contribute to the agile design and development of LSA products and services

Work with Systems Engineering teams to establish LSA requirements

Support product teams in designing to meet ILS requirements

Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple sites and time zones (AU and US)

Resolve issues identified during development, integration, and testing

Provide LSA guidance and expertise to internal stakeholders

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering and/or equivalent relevant experience in Defence or complex logistics projects

Strong knowledge of ILS processes, procedures, and the engineering product lifecycle

Proven experience in conducting LSA activities including sparing, maintenance, training, and documentation

Experience in supportability analysis, MRD, and Repairable Item Management

Practical problem-solving skills and sound engineering judgement

Experience with MILIS, CAMM2, MEX, OPUS10, Eagle, or similar tools (highly desirable)

Strong communication and collaboration skills

An active NV-1 security clearance and ability to handle Export Controlled information
