Coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment while studying shipping directives, bill of ladings, commercial invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules

Job Responsibilities:

Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments

Verifies all shipments are in line with customers' orders in order to guarantee customer satisfaction

Determines routing and legal load limits of trucks, according to established schedules and weight limits of DOT Requirements

Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications

Directs movement of product from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas

Possesses knowledge of positioning and load capacity of shipment

Possesses knowledge of incoterms & harmonized tariff codes

Prepares commercial invoices, bill of ladings, NAFTA, and other documents required for shipment

Schedules pickup or shipment of orders per customer instructions, abiding by specified freight terms & appointment times

Notifies Production Manager of unfulfilled scheduled shipments

Obtains freight quotes for the pricing department

Ensures prior days shipping tickets are closed out

Scans and saves all receiving and shipment documents on the network in an organized fashion

Being responsive to corporate reporting and needs

Assist with related special projects, as needed Duties and Day-to-Day Responsibilities, but not limited to the following:

Coordination of activities in verifying and keeping records of incoming and outgoing material

Forklift operation

Validate all data entry in the manufacturing system is accurate

Preparation of items for shipment

Provide labels and necessary documentation for sampling of raw materials

General housekeeping duties

Scheduling daily shipments

Monitoring and recording daily temperature and humidity levels in raw and finished goods material warehouses

Monitor maintenance and upkeep of warehouse assigned forklift

Wrapping and storage of finished goods materials

Organization and storage of raw materials Minimum Training, Education and Experience Requirements:

Education level: High School Diploma

Experience level: At least 2 years forklift operation and 1-3 years experience leading and training team members

Required Training and/or Certifications: Forklift certification is required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Must be competent in Microsoft Suite

Must be able to multi-task

Must be able to work in both an office setting and warehouse
