Full-Time Leadership Resident Engagement & Wellness
Job Description: The Director of Campus Life is responsible for providing oversight and strategic direction for the Wellness Department, Life Enrichment Department (Independent Living (IL) and Healthcare (HC), Transportation, and Reception. Assists with developing Wellness and Campus Life programs that stimulate interest, promote successful aging, and encourage involvement from our residents in Independent Living and Healthcare.
What You'll Do
Provide strategic direction and oversight for Wellness, Life Enrichment (IL & HC), Transportation, and Reception.
Develop and implement engaging programs, events, and activities that meet residents' intellectual, artistic, spiritual, and fitness needs.
Oversee monthly activity calendars, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism.
Manage departmental budgets while empowering team leaders to deliver exceptional programs and services.
Foster innovation by introducing new programs, speakers, outings, and resident-led initiatives.
Collaborate with resident committees, incorporating feedback to guide future programming.
Ensure clear communication through resident portals, calendars, and memos.
Maintain industry knowledge and CPR certification.
Participate in the Manager-on-Duty rotation and assist in emergency operations if needed. What We're Looking For
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Recreation Therapy) required; CPR certification and valid driver's license required.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a related role, preferably in senior living, long-term care, or wellness programming.
Skills: Strong organizational skills with flexibility, patience, and the ability to adapt activities to residents' needs. Must be a collaborative leader and excellent communicator.
Knowledge: Understanding of normal aging and disease processes affecting activity participation. Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, and reaching; occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
