Beverage Manager
The Athletic Club of Columbus (ACC) is seeking a leader who is passionate about coffee, wine, spirits, fine dining, and customer experience. The ideal candidate serves as a leader, educator, and coach to the ACC's Food and Beverage teams. This person will set the standard for the ACC's dining and beverage service, ensure that the team is well informed, well-practiced, and committed to providing the high level of service that ACC Members expect. This individual should have a natural ability to inspire others around them.
The Food and Beverage Department is closed on Sundays, However, there are three per year we are open and required to work which are Mothers day, Easter, and the first weekend of December. The club is closed most major holidays including New Years Day, Juneteenth, Memorial Day July 4th, Labor day, Thanksgiving, and the 24th-26th of December for Christmas. All of those days are paid holidays off. We also supply you with two paid personal days each year along with PTO and paid sick days.
Responsibilities
Thoughtfully plan and implement the food and beverage programs in a way that adds quality and value to enhance the member experience.
Assist in the development and implementation of education programs and initiatives that assist the leadership teams in educating members and employees (i.e. lineup tastings, regular testing, purveyor visits, educational trips, etc.).
Lead lesson plans for the Food and Beverage teams when appropriate.
Provide ample and continuous beverage training, tasting and education to ensure that team member beverage knowledge is the best in our industry.
Work closely with the Front of House leadership team to organize, coach, and train new teammates.
Assist Director in building beverage program and menu building.
Establish and maintain positive and productive relationships with vendors and sales representatives, displaying decorum and respect in accordance with the ACC's mission and values.
Conduct monthly beverage inventory and organization of storage in a timely manner.
Support operations in fine and casual dining settings, bowling center, banquets, and culinary teams
Qualifications
At least three (3) years of server and/or bartender experience
At least one (1) year of food and beverage supervisory experience, prior Club experience a plus.
Passion for food & beverage operations, service excellence and encouraging unique experiences
Able to anticipate needs and identify issues before they become problems
Able to manage time and resources to achieve goals
Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and some holidays

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 DOE
FLSA Status: Exempt
Shift: Varied, a mix of 7am-4pm;12pm-9pm; 3pm-12am

Created in 1912 by a group of business professionals interested in promoting social and athletic endeavors, the ACC remains an integral part of the Columbus business and political communities.
