Job Summary: The Legal Collections Team handles escalated collection accounts. The Legal Collections Analyst is responsible for maintaining, facilitating, and directing appropriate and timely contact with tenants to determine payment intentions and resolve issues related to lease enforcement once cases are escalated to Legal Collections.

Key Responsibilities:

Contact tenants and guarantors on escalated accounts to resolve lease defaults.

Oversee and coordinate pending litigation, work with legal counsel, review legal documents related to collection and eviction lawsuits.

Negotiate settlements with tenants and communicate proposals to senior management for approval.

Review account receivable reports to identify problem accounts needing escalation, participate in monthly collection meetings.

Ensure high accuracy and quality within a collaborative team environment.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field preferred.

At least 4 years of relevant professional experience required (considering education and experience equivalency).

Experience in collections is highly preferred.

Ability to interpret leases, legal documents, and financial data.

Skills:

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to be tactful, persuasive, persistent, and firm.

Professional maturity, integrity, and ethical standards.

Calmness under stress, teamwork, self-motivation.

Flexibility and adaptability in shifting priorities.
