We re looking for an on-site Intermediate to Senior Civil Engineer in the construction industry.
Our client is a well-regarded firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality civil engineering solutions across site development and municipal building projects. They value technical expertise, professionalism, and collaborative project delivery. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, detailing, and project management of diverse civil engineering projects, while supporting client needs and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Civil Engineer responsibilities:
Interpret drawings and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
Design, detail, and prepare drawings for site grading, water supply networks, sewer systems (including lift stations), stormwater systems, fire protection systems, roads, culverts, and site services plans
Create contour plans from survey data and ensure compliance with material specifications
Support building projects through the design and detailing of wood-frame structures, wall assemblies, plumbing, sewage, and drainage systems
Contribute to project management activities, including reviewing contracts, preparing quotes/proposals, writing reports, and tracking project progress
Organize and lead project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and check contractor invoices
Support tender documentation preparation as needed
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project delivery and compliance with engineering standards
The successful candidate has:
Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering
P.Eng. designation with APEGM in good standing
5 10 years of engineering experience
Proven experience in civil site development, building systems, and project management
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, Civil 3D, and Excel (Revit considered an asset)
Strong technical writing skills with excellent communication skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
Compensation and benefits:
The discussed salary range is $100,000 $140,000 depending on experience
Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
