BIM/VDC Specialist
The BIM/VDC Specialist supports the Building Information Modeling and Virtual Design Construction process and works directly under the BIM/VDC Manager to facilitate jobsite construction using VDC. The Specialist creates 3D models on one complex project or multiple small projects and may assist with design validation and model maintenance. Visits field to learn concrete construction means and methods.
The BIM/VDC Specialist will possess competency in the following areas to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. Participates in Training/Certifications
The BIM/VDC Specialist will have a Bachelor's Degree in a related construction field and 5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced knowledge of 3D/4D/5D BIM and of appropriate platforms such as AutoCad, Architectural Desktop, Revit, Tekla, etc. is required.
