About Us Peachtree Spine and Sports Physicians (PSP) is a physiatry group with nine locations across the greater Atlanta area.
As an independent practice, our physicians specialize in the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of back, neck, and musculoskeletal conditions.
We provide a full spectrum of services, including physical therapy, diagnostic imaging (X-ray and MRI), and interventional procedures performed under ultrasound and fluoroscopic guidance.
About the Role Peachtree Spine and Sports Physicians is seeking a skilled and organized Paralegal to support our physicians and patients by managing personal injury caseloads and serving as the key liaison between our practice and attorney offices.
This role is critical to ensuring smooth communication, accurate documentation, and timely care for patients involved in personal injury cases.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage personal injury caseloads for a designated physician or location.Maintain patient treatment lists in accordance with company policies and protocols.Coordinate physician orders with patients and outside providers.Gather necessary documentation or information to help determine acceptance of new personal injury referrals and recommended treatments.Communicate with patients to ensure treatments are completed in a timely manner.Serve as primary contact for attorney offices regarding patient treatments, charges, and medical liens.Monitor patient financial status to ensure treatment plans are sustainable.Schedule new personal injury referrals and assist front desk staff with checkout and scheduling as needed.Answer incoming calls for the physician team, lien inquiries, and overflow lines.Safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.Communicate with management to address and resolve problems effectively.Perform additional duties as needed.
Minimum QualificationsPrior experience in a medical office or hospital environment.Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.Strong computer and data entry skills, including proficiency with electronic medical records.Advanced clerical skills including typing, filing, and office procedures.Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent phone etiquette.Professionalism, emotional stability, and the ability to work as part of a team.Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
