Job Opportunity: Med Surg DRMU RN - 12H Nights
Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Med Surg DRMU (Diabetic Renal Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-hour night shift position. This is a contracted role with the potential for 48 hours per week. Please note this assignment will conclude on Saturday, with no renewals available.
Key Responsibilities
Provide patient care in the Med Surg DRMU setting, ensuring high standards of nursing practice.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and improve outcomes.
Participate in orientation activities, providing support to students and new hires.
Adapt to unit needs and float as required within the department.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant specialty.
Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
Prior travel experience is required.
Experience in teaching hospitals and charge nurse experience preferred.
Active Virginia or Compact License required at the time of submission.
All requests for time off (RTO) must be included in the submission packet.
Work Schedule
This position requires:
12-hour night shifts, with orientation sessions occurring every other Monday.
Availability to work 2/3 weekends per month based on unit needs.
Orientation start dates available on 10/6 and 10/22.
Possibility of assignment cancellation up to 36 hours prior due to census changes.
