Med Surg Oncology RN - 12H Nights

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Med Surg Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-hour night shift position. This role requires 48 hours of work per week and demands flexibility with scheduling, particularly on weekends.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Med Surg Oncology unit.

Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in their condition.

Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Ensure compliance with all healthcare policies and regulations.

Position Details

Shift: 12-hour Nights

Contract Duration: 91 weeks

Orientation: Every other Monday

Weekend Requirements: 2-3 weekends per month based on unit needs

Initial Start Date: 10/20

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant specialty.

Current BLS certification; ACLS certification is preferred.

Previous travel experience is required.

Cerner experience is preferred.

Active Virginia / Compact License is required at the time of submission.

All RTO must be provided at the time of submission.

Float requirements may apply.

Important Notes

Locals are now accepted, but this is a one-assignment role with no renewals.

Client reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours before an assignment due to census changes.

Approved declinations for Covid and Flu are accepted.
