At the MUSC Health Heart & Vascular Center, we provide personalized, compassionate care and the most advanced and effective treatments. We are the only program in South Carolina to offer heart transplantation, robotic valve surgery, complex aorta surgeries, complex ablation and comprehensive lead management services.
Our nationally recognized EP program performs over 200 ventricular tachycardia or PVC ablations, over 300 atrial fibrillation ablations, approximately 150 lead management procedures and over 400 CRM device implantations annually. Our electrophysiologists work in close collaboration with heart failure specialists, cardiac surgeons and cardiac imagers. We field the states only cardiovascular clinical genetics program, offering personalized care for people and families with inherited heart and vascular conditions, in addition to deeply differentiated programs in structural heart disease, percutaneous coronary intervention, cardiac imaging, cardiac surgery and vascular surgery.
The MUSC Health Heart & Vascular Center has received the Society of Thoracic Surgeons 3-star rating 20 years in a row, is accredited by the Society of Chest Pain Centers, and is a BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina BlueDistinction Center for Cardiac Care. This year, U.S. News & World Report ranked MUSCs University Medical Center as High Performing in the areas of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Aortic Valve Surgery, and the treatment of Heart Failure and Heart Attack.
Ideal Candidates:
Completed an accredited Cardiology Fellowship and additional Cardiac Electrophysiology training
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology and Electrophysiology
