Position Overview: Safety Manager (1099 Contract)

Mulat Consulting Group LLC is seeking a highly experienced Safety Manager to join our team on a 1099 contract basis. This role demands strong leadership, hands-on field experience, and a commitment to safety training and development. The successful candidate will ensure that all personnel—from subcontractors to site supervisors—understand and adhere to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety policies in alignment with OSHA regulations and company standards.

Conduct regular job site audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.

Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses; implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Track and report safety performance metrics to project leadership and senior management.

Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to drive EHS initiatives.

Stay current on construction safety trends, regulatory updates, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role within a general contracting or construction environment.

Strong background in safety training and workforce development.

Excellent communication and reporting skills across all levels of the organization.

Preferred Certifications: CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician), or a related safety degree.
