Job Description
The Director of Human Resources will lead and strategize HR functions for our Third-Party Logistics (3PL) company, overseeing operations across our fast-paced warehouse and logistics facilities in Utah, Kentucky, and Ohio. This senior leadership role drives talent management, employee relations, and compliance while fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture. Candidates must have at least five years of progressive HR experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with proven leadership in HR strategy and fluency in both English and Spanish. The Director will serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, driving employee engagement, coordinating closely with external staffing agencies for non-supervisory roles, and collaborating with our Professional Employer Organization (PEO) to ensure seamless HR operations in our dynamic supply chain environment.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations: Serve as the senior point of contact for employee relations, overseeing conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances for all employees, including those hired through staffing agencies. Fluency in Spanish is critical for effective communication and mediation with our diverse, multi-site workforce.
Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead full-cycle recruitment for direct-hire supervisory, warehouse management, account management, and leadership roles, developing strategic hiring plans, crafting job descriptions, posting on bilingual platforms, and ensuring seamless onboarding. Oversee coordination with external staffing agencies to support recruitment and onboarding of non-supervisory workers.
Compliance and Safety: Drive compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA regulations specific to warehousing and logistics. Lead multi-site audits and develop policies to maintain a safe, compliant workplace for all workers, whether direct hires or agency staff.
Performance Management: Partner with senior leadership to establish performance expectations and guide improvement strategies for direct-hire employees. Develop and implement a performance management framework, aligning employee goals with organizational objectives. Provide strategic guidance to agency staff supervisors as needed.
PEO Coordination: Collaborate with our PEO to oversee benefits administration and payroll processes, ensuring employees receive clear, bilingual (English and Spanish) communication regarding benefits and compensation inquiries.
Training and Development: Design and implement strategic training programs for direct-hire employees and managers, and coordinate with staffing agencies to ensure agency workers receive training on workplace safety, harassment prevention, diversity and inclusion, and leadership skills tailored to logistics operations.
Strategic Leadership: Shape HR strategy and policies to support iDrive Fulfillment’s growth, fostering a culture of engagement and inclusion across multiple locations. Act as a key advisor to the executive team on workforce planning and organizational development.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of five years of progressive HR experience, with at least three years in a senior HR leadership role within a warehouse or logistics environment. Experience managing HR across multiple locations and working with staffing agencies is preferred.
Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) is a non-negotiable requirement to support our diverse team.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
