Position: Medical Assistant
Employment Type: Full-time (Monday - Friday)Position Summary:

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll help our physicians provide top-notch care by assisting in patient exams, managing documentation, and supporting both clinical and administrative tasks. This is a great opportunity to work with a collaborative team in a well-established, patient-focused practice.Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Support:
Greet and escort patients to exam rooms.
Assist physicians by preparing patients for exams and reviewing patient history and medical concerns.
Perform basic medical tasks like suture removal, injections, and prescription documentation.
Handle patient requests for physical therapy or off-work notes.
Respond to patient messages and prescription requests through our EMR system.
Assist with patient follow-up care by coordinating with other services.
Ensure all exam rooms are clean, organized, and ready for the next patient.
Perform general X-Rays
Administrative Support:
Manage incoming calls, faxed documents, and portal messages.
Help with surgery packet preparation and pre-clinic preparations.
Communicate with physicians and staff to keep everything running smoothly.
Maintain accurate medical records and facilitate record requests when needed.
Assist with obtaining MRI and X-ray results for physician review.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with physicians, clinic managers, and other team members to provide excellent patient care.
Support a positive, cooperative clinic culture that values teamwork and communication.
Adapt to the changing needs of the clinic and contribute to a smooth, efficient workday.Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
GXMO certification required.
At least 1 year of medical assisting experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an orthopedic or medical office.
Certifications:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred, but not required.
Certified GXMO (General X-ray Machine Operator).
Skills:
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with patients and team members.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
