Role Overview:
The Team Leader will provide strategic, technical, and managerial leadership to ensure high-quality, timely delivery of project outcomes. The role involves stakeholder engagement, coordination with national and international partners, and supervision of short-term experts
Roles and Responsibilities:
● Hold overall responsibility for project advisory packages, ensuring delivery quality and timelines.
● Lead, plan, and manage personnel assignments within budget, including supporting local and international experts.
● Coordinate all project communications with key partners, stakeholders, and consortium members.
● Provide technical leadership for the assignment, including active engagement in stakeholder consultations, workshops, and key meetings.
● Offer technical backstopping to field assessment and planning teams.
● Prepare regular progress and technical reports as per project deadlines.
● Ensure compliance with guidelines, project milestones, and contractual requirements.
● Oversee management adaptations in response to changing project conditions and ensure administrative closure.
Qualifications & Experience:
● Master’s degree in Environmental Policy, Economics, Forestry, Business Administration, or related discipline.
● Proficiency in English & Hindi (B2 level).
● 12 years of professional experience in sustainability and natural resources management, 8 years in business development, value chain promotion and market linkages, 5 years of management/leadership experience as project team leader or manager in a company, 5 years of experience in projects in South Asia (region), of which 2 years in projects in India (country), 5 years of experience in Development cooperation projects

● Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation abilities.
● Strategic planning and results-oriented approach.
● Excellent oral and written communication in English and Hindi.
